Size: 11-3/16 inches x 17-1/8 inches

Map Type: Atlas

This is a superior copy, with vivid hand-drawn outline colors. A few chips in the margins.

This map was taken from Atlas Universel Illustré. This very decorative map of 19th century America is set ona pictorial backdrop of animals, natives, and plants that can be found on this continent, along with a ship stranded in the polar sea, and a Mayan Temple. The United States is shown extending into today's Canada and Mexico's northern border has not been redefined yet.
