An engraved map, with hand colored wash Size:12 inches X 11 inches Map Type: Atlas This is an excellent copy, with strong engraving and vivid colors. Archivally framed in a carved wooden frame, outside dimensions 18-1/2 inches X 20-3/4 inches. Louis Brion de la Tour (1756-1823) was the Royal Cartographer for Frances' King Louis XV. This map was taken from his deluxe version of Atlas Generale, Civil et Ecclesiastique, Methodique et Elementaire pour l'etude de la geographie et de l'historie.
